Bobbie Hunt
I am a local artist living in Stevensville, MD. I strive to bring the beauty of nature seen in sunsets and sunrises, storms rolling across the Chesapeake Bay, spectacular sky and clouds, trees, paths and lakes located along the many walking trails and parks on the Eastern Shore, and the mountains of Western Maryland and Virginia.
While most of my painting is in the form of realistic landscapes, I also enjoy some abstract and still life projects. While I have taken some classes, and watched on line tutorials, most of my training is through trial and error. Typically, I work in oils and acrylics, but have worked on small projects in water color.
I have had to opportunity to show some of my paintings in Maryland based displays, as follows:
*Kent Island Federation of Art in Stevensville, where I was awarded “People’s Choice” Award for my painting The Pond.
*Queen Anne’s County Art Council in Centreville
*Participated in the Historic Stevensville Eastern Shore inspired bench project, which I designed, painted, and which is now sitting on the porch of Lundberg Builders on Main Street.
The Majestic Monarch painting was displayed in the Stevensville Library.
